The WSET Level 2 course is aimed at enthusiastic individuals with some knowledge of wines but who want to know more, or those already in or looking to get into the wine or hospitality industry.
This course runs for 6 Monday evenings from 19 Feb 2018 to 26 March 2018 from 7:00PM until 9:45PM. Final assessment will be through an externally set and marked 1 hour examination of 50 multiple-choice questions which will be taken during the final session. It is expected that delegates undertake their own private study throughout the course to back up the topics covered in the sessions
The course focuses on key grape varieties and wine regions of the world, different styles of wines, and the production of spirits and liqueurs. Students are also taught how to taste wine professionally using the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. Each session will be supported by relevant tasting samples and at least 24 different wines will be tasted throughout the course.
WSET Level 2 is an internationally regarded course. It’s ideal for those with the Level 1 qualification but this is not a specific requirement, anyone can start at this level.
The price includes WSET registration, exam fees, official WSET Study Guide including textbook and a workbook, and all wines for tasting.
This is a great course for all abilities and is a requirement for the higher WSET Level 3 and Diploma courses.
