Have you ever wanted to learn more about wine? Do you find yourself drinking the same wines all the time because you don’t know enough to risk being adventurous with a new wine? Find yourself stuck when choosing from a restaurant wine list? Then this could be the course for you!
We’ve joined forces with Casa Restaurant in Bury St Edmunds to put together a four-evening course this October which will introduce you to the fabulous world of wine.
The course, designed for those already with some knowledge of wine as well as people just discovering wine and want to know more, will cover grape growing and wine making, look in detail at some of the the main grape varieties, examine different styles of wines and some famous wine producing regions, and of course will involve lots of different wines to taste! Casa will also be providing tapas dishes to go with different wines as well as a specially chosen more substantial dish each week. We guarantee that you taste buds will have a full work out and you’ll learn lots of information about wine!
The courses run every Tuesday evening in October (4, 11, 18, 25 October) at Casa on Risbygate St in Bury. A range of course materials will be provided and the final evening will include a short exam that will enable you to achieve our own Certificate of Wine award! We at Suffolk Wine Academy are Approved Providers of WSET courses, the global recognised standard for wine education, and are also approved Educators for Rioja and Sherry wines, so you know that you’ll be getting great content, and we’ll be presenting it in our own informal, unpretentious style. We’ll also be choosing some great wines for you to taste too each evening that we know that you’ll enjoy.
The 4-week course will cost £195 per person. That includes all the wines and food as well as the materials you’ll need. There’s limited numbers to ensure a perfect learning environment so make this October the month where you finally get around to learning more about wine!
